It is quite understandable that heading tags play a vital role for any web page as the search engines use these heading tags for indexing the content and structure of any web document. Heading tags ranges for H1 to H6, Where H1 is largest and is used for main headings, H2 for subheadings, H3 for tinier headings and H6 is the least important. If there are several H1 heading tags on any page then it may have a negative impact on the keyword ranking and also affects the SEO. Many times situation arises when we have to modify the module title tag to H2, H3, H4, H5 or H6. We have two options for this:
Firstly we can change the title heading tags of the module in the main-modules.php file but when we change the title heading tags in this file it is permanent and it will be fixed. And whenever we use that particular module it reflects the same title heading tags at all the places, which are defined in the main-module.php file.
The second way is the much better way for defining the module title tag. Just make the title field empty and define your title in the Content field. In this field, we can choose any of the heading tags for the title. For more please see the below example:
In this example, we are going to show how to change the Title heading tags of Blurb module.
- Add blurb module on any page or post.
- Then open the Blurb module general settings and make the Title field Empty. Place your title in the Content field and select the Heading tag (H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6) for the title from the drop down menu. For more please visit the below image.
